From 1 to 17 years old

Limited to 5 children

We together cook a delicious, healthy and organic meal including homemade pasta, pizza, indian curries, falafel, hummus, salad and plenty more.

It's the occasion for everyone to develop their cooking skills and  to share a nice moment.

We only cook organic food, with the majority of ingredients coming from our garden.

We all eat around the table and everyone is involved. Lunch session is not only about cooking but also setting the table and tidy everything away when finished.

We spend half of the session outdoor, where we usually either have a walk in the woods and/or go to the playground.

We bring a snack (organic) to enjoy whilst on the walk , we usally find a beautiful spot in a field or by some horses to have a picnic whilst enjoying the scenery. We offer some of our homemade sourdough bread with butter, dried fruit, fresh fruits from our garden and hardboiled eggs from our farm.

We spend the rest of the session doing a calming activity: interactive story telling, yoga, breathing/meditation practice of stories, drawing or painting.

Only available Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays

We welcome your child into our beautiful home which is set on a smallholding within four acres of land.

Within the house, we have a dedicated room to host activities for your child. We speak fluent English and French and run activities in both languages, giving your child the opportunity to learn French. We are a TV-free house so children can focus on enjoying the real world.

Outside of the house your child can enjoy the beauty of our permaculture garden, orchard and animals. We have over 30 chickens, with chicks being born each month, your child will have the opportunity to see eggs hatch, hold a chick and collect fresh eggs each morning. We have a really sweet and playful Border Collie called Jasmine who accompanies us during our outdoors activities. We also have three cats (one young cat and two kittens) that we can stroke on rainy days.

Our approach & philosophy

Communication is key, it is the basis for any interaction and we cannot emphasise enough the importance of voicing feelings and emotions. We always encourage children to voice their needs and feelings. We believe each child is unique and has individual needs that must be respected. We treat each child as an equal and encourage freedom within the appropriate boundaries. We always give a child a choice as it is crucial in empowering him/her in making decision and becoming independant.

Each child is an active learner and we support and encourage him/her in a favourable environment and empathic practice to meet his/her learning needs and curiosity.

We believe nature is one of the best teachers and we ensure children receive plenty of time outside and with the animals.

We trust art and creativity as the best mean to express oneself!

We offer a place for your child to be happy, free and just be him/herself: an amazing strong being!

The setting

We have a large selection of Montessori toys and a strong preference for natural materials such as wood. We operate some group activities, but will allow each child the choice to pick activities of his/her own or join the group as they prefer.

We have a wide range of activities ranging from cooking session, arts & craft, drawing & painting, theatre, music, singing, dancing, yoga, breathing exercises, story telling, woodland walks, gardening, fruit picking,  collecting eggs, and animal learning activities e.g. observing chicks hatch.

We make sure our activities incorporate some learning of numbers, letters, geometry, culture, reading and plenty more!

The activities

£16/session (food included)

We do not run our childminding per hour or do any school runs. Instead we offer 3 hours morning or afternoon session or 2 hours lunch session so that children are given all the space and time to do their activities within the session and make the best of it. This is a place where children come to be themselves, express themselves in a nurturing environment without having to rush to follow a particular schedule.

Please see the table above for our schedule and availabilty and  below an explanation on how each session are run.
